Avril was born in a small town in Ontario and grew up singing in church! At the age of 16 she caught the eye of producers and she teamed up with song writers to make hit tunes like skater boi and complicated! She was only 17 when her album "let go" was released. The album got her 5 grammy nominations. Her next album " under my skin" got realeased in 2004 and reached number 1 on the billboard album charts. In 2006 she annouced a deal with the power house model agency. Later in 2007 she released her single "girlfriend" a song from her new album "the best damn thing"
